Illustrating a Friend's Novel - Harlequeen

I was sent the precis of his latest writing and an image began to take form.
Just for fun, I decided I would attempt to illustrate it.
I wanted to create the flavour of a Venetian Carnival within an antique playing card format.
My favourite lady was hauled out of the vault and became the HarleQueen.
So here she is.
